History of Maglev trains
The Maglev train's construction was started in march of 2001 and was completed January 1st 2004 in Shanghai.
The ideal of a Maglev train has been around for years but not until recently has such a train been produced. G. R. Polgreen of the United States was issued a patent describing an early modern type of a Maglev train in 1959.
There are several Maglev trains located throughout the world. There is one in Hamburg, Germany that is about 900 meters in length. There is also a low speed Maglev train in the UK, the first commercial Maglev built in 1984.
